The P&V Group Academy assists young people in embarking on their professional adventure
In 2024, the Foundation P&V and the P&V Group launched the P&V Group Academy to assist young people in confidently embarking on their professional adventure. This academy offers young people a training and mentoring program within the P&V Group, with the opportunity to access a paid 12-month internship and potentially a permanent job. Find out more about the different stages of this program: the teaser, the explorer and the internship.
The P&V Group pursues objectives of inclusion and non-discrimination as part of its societal commitment in collaboration with the P&V Foundation. As part of this project, we work closely with non-profit organisations that refer young people to us and support them, such as Capital, City Pirates, Déclic, Profo and YouthStart. Their partnership is essential to the success of our mission.
The teaser
In February 2024, around forty young people attended an information session on the P&V Group Academy. In order to make this session interactive, the young people played a quiz about insurance and met some colleagues from the P&V Group.
The explorer
In March 2024, interested young people spent three days delving deeper into the world of insurance and the teams where the internships would take place. They also got to know themselves better and prepared for the recruitment phase for a possible paid twelve-month internship.
The internship
In the end, 7 young people were offered internships within the P&V Group and 1 youngster within the P&V Foundation. On April 22, 2024, they started their paid 12-month internship as part of the P&V Group Academy! The program includes theory, soft skills, and practical immersion in the world of insurance, with valuable support from mentors and sponsors.
Those who were not selected for or interested in an internship received a personal debriefing from members of the P&V Group Academy. In it, they were told, among other things, why they were not selected (if applicable), what their strengths are, the areas for improvement, advice, thoughts for the future and coaching. All participants went home with valuable advice, greater insight into their potential and capabilities, and a rich first exposure to the workplace.
